How to Hide your Web Site – No Really !

Posted by productreview on April 29, 2006

Pay Per Click Guy talking about hiding a website – lol

I was perusing the lanes, as I am prone to do every once in a while, when I happened to see this interesting article.

I thought there was a typo of some sort, so I looked a little more closely and sure enough, it was on how to thoroughly hide your website so that you got NO traffic.

A little informative and a little amusing, so i thought i would blog about it.

The author, I suppose is really trying to say, that if you put informative interesting content on your website, that despite all you might do, the search engines will eventually find it.

Anyway, tell me what you think …

Assuming that you have a working functional site called myAbc.com, let’s look at what is required for myAbc.com to STOP traffic from quite naturally coming into the site.

The first thing that myAbc.com needs to do, is to somehow ensure that it is NEVER submitted to any search engine. And I do mean ‘any’, because submitting even to a minor search engine like alltheweb.com will eventually come to the notice of both yahoo and google, and alas our first rule would be cardinally broken.

Oddly enough, its much more likely that Google will rank you quicker if you are found through a 3rd party website or search engine, than if you submitted your site directly to google, so…

Automatic responders

Posted by productreview on March 6, 2006

Auto Who?
Not a lot of people seem to know what these do, though the purpose can be guessed to some degree from the words themselves. Automatic responders or Autoresponders as are more commmonly known, are in their simpliest form, a set of online tools that would enable a user to automatically respond to an email that was sent to them.

Beautiful Argule mountains - PeruSo, say for example, you are going on a holiday to Peru, and have no intention of answering any of your email while you’re busy losing thousands of calories in the beautiful mountains of Peru.
If your friends are not dear to you, don’t tell them that you went on vacation and simply allow them get frustrated that you are not answering your email.
When you get back, you can gaily explain that Lithium ion batteries don’t work real well at 19,000 feet and above. That explanation might hold a few of them until they google it.
But is that any way to treat business clients or close family? Well depends on family… lol…Probably not. A short but polite autoresponder set up to automatically reply to any email that comes to you while your treking about the Andes would probably be far more informative…

As an informal Autoresponder it might say:

Hello,

I am currently measuring the speed of the glaciers in the Ande Mountains, and consequently won’t be able to respond to you until my GPS starts working again.

Warm Regards,

And that would be that. Autoresponder in a nutshell!

But Autoresponders are used in business too, and sometimes they are linked together to form an autoresponder series.

Tomorrow, more on business autoresponders and some of the larger companies that host them.
Aweber, Getresponse and 1Shoppingcart.com are the three major companies that supply automatic responder services.

If you can’t wait until tomorrow, there is an article here on How Autoresponders Improve Customer support.

Acute Anxiety and Stress Attacks. Linden Method

Posted by productreview on March 3, 2006

Battling Acute Anxiety and stress syndrome.

So many people suffer from acute anxiety and stress, including a few very close friends that i know. Most of my suffering friends simply don’t don’t know enough to “Google it” and check out what might be available.
Indigo Children from Indigo site. Then after one “Googles it”, it is still quite hard to be sure about know what is real and what is not.

Some additional research on the matter on both yahoo and Google appear to show a recurring theme.
The Linden-Method shows up time and time again.

I saw an article over here on the Linden Method for Acute Anxiety and Stress Attacks, and was pleasantly surprised to find that one of my friends had actually tried this with positive but mixed results.
Knowing that particular buddy of mine, i have a feeling that following instructions may not be his strong suit but he is showing signs of popping out of his depressive state so…

I am sure that this is not the only site that has info on this. Google shows about 20 additional sites that seem to have something to do with the Acute Anxiety and Stress Attacks.

Will blog some more as I follow the progress…
